Close Quarters Tactics(CQT) Carbine | Pistol Course

The Close Quarters (CQT) Carbine | Pistol Course is the foundational block of training focusing on defensive shooting skills in close quarters, home defense and urban environments. This course will include combined carbine and pistol live fire training as well as non-ballistic force on force reality-based training and scenarios. This is not a basic course and attendance to this course requires the student to possess a basic comprehension of carbine and pistol fundamentals skills and have completed the Paraclete Consulting Course Carbine Standards and Fundamentals Course, Critical Skills Carbine Course, Performance Carbine Course or an equivalent course.

The course will cover:

• 8 Fundamentals of Shooting
• The 50-yard defensive zeroconfirmation (Students MUST arrive with a zeroed weapon)
• Performance of the carbine zero atclose interior distances
• Performance of the handgun and RDS zero at close interior distances
• Holdover Discovery
• Breakdown of the defensive shooting positions and presentation of the weapon
• Speed and Efficiency
• Accuracy and Consistency
• Low Ready Clearing Skills and Speed
• High Port Clearing Skills and Speed
• Buttstock Drag Entry Skills and Speed
• Imminent Threat Skills and Speed
• Transition Skills
• Reloading the weapon(s) in close quarters
• Clearing Malfunctions(s) in close quarters
• Live Fire Hostage Situations
• Principles of Close Quarters Tactics
• Exterior Clears
• Threshold Stacking
• Threshold Exterior Clearing
• Room Entry
• Room Clearing
• Hallways
• T Shape Hallways
• Shoot – Don’t Shoot Scenarios
• Force on Force Scenarios (Students will participate in force on force reality based training scenarios)
• Students will receive one on one instructor to student assessment and group assessment and evaluation

Attendees are required to bring a:

• Semi-automatic carbine chambered in 5.56 or 223
• 200 rounds of 5.56 or 223 55gr FMJammunition (No green tip or armor piercing rounds)
• Three or more magazines
• Double magazine pouch, chest rig or body armor capable of carrying 2 magazines
• Belt to support the magazine pouches
• Sling
• Owner’s Manual on Optics if owned
• Sight adjustment tools if owned
• Semi-automatic handgun
• Holster Designed for that weapon
• 3 magazines
• Double Magazine pouch
• 100 rounds of pistol ammunition
• Eye Protection with side shields
• Hearing protection
• Closed toed footwear
• Appropriate clothing for the weather
• Sunblock is recommended
• Headgear is recommended
• Chair
• Water / Fluids
• Lunch and a snack; we will not depart the training facility for lunch.

Course Fee is $350.00 (No refunds or credits will be granted for missed classes unless a 72-hour notification is provided)
